Our principle investment strategy concentrates on the clean tech sector, as well as seeing a great investment sector we also believe that this ethical sector provides a strong drive and ethos behind everything we do – in short, we invest in an ethical sector and believe what we do is right for everyone.

SI Capital believes that, in addition to its core focus on well established technologies (e.g. wind turbines, solar PV, biomass combustion), there are interesting opportunities for higher returns through placing early to market orders on new but nevertheless proven technologies - both on infrastructure assets and also by seeking a participation in the success of the technology providers themselves. We term this strategy InfrastructurePlus.

InfrastructurePlus criteria are strict and no technology development risk will be taken. This approach also enables SI Capital to leverage the [xx]% track-record over [30] years venture capital track-record of Gordon Power who is a director of SICPE and sits on our investment committee.

Activities which could be classified as InfrastructurePlus

• Repowering of existing wind farms
• Retrofitting of value added technologies to existing infrastructure, e.g. advanced wind sensors and turbine control systems
• New inverters / smart grid technologies etc. on solar projects
